Immerse yourself in nature with a one-and-a-half-hour horse ride in the Gargnano hinterland .
Just a few kilometres from Turin, nestled amongst the greenery of the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre, lies the so-called ‘Percorso delle Meraviglie’ (Path of Wonders), a beautiful 7-kilometre nature trail on the hills of Albiano d’Ivrea.
Discover this fascinating horseback trail in the company of professional equestrian guides. You’ll ride through vineyards, poplar groves and alongside streams, and you’ll have the chance to bond with an extraordinary animal.
This activity is perfect for beginners and those trying horse riding for the first time.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the riding school in Albiano d’Ivrea, in the province of Turin. On arrival, the riding instructor will welcome us and briefly explain the basic techniques for handling the horse safely during the ride.
We’ll ride along the ‘Percorso delle Meraviglie’ (Path of Wonders), a 7 km circular route that winds its way through the hills of Albiano d’Ivrea, amongst vineyards, streams and poplar groves. Along the trail, we’ll be able to admire the Bishop’s Castle of Albiano, an ancient building constructed on the ruins of a Roman villa, and unique installations, such as the giant chair on a 3: 1 scale.
During the ride, the equestrian guides will accompany us on foot to ensure maximum safety and share some interesting facts about these fascinating places.
Finally, we’ll make our way back to the riding centre at a leisurely pace. Including the initial briefing and the ride itself, the activity will last around 1½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, from 6 years of age. However, children under 14 must necessarily be accompanied by a walking guide (extra cost of €10 to be selected when booking). The weight limit is 100 kg.
No experience is required, ideal for beginners and those who have never ridden a horse before.

The experience is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
There is the possibility of both American and English riding, but for beginners, American riding is recommended. If you have any special requirements, please inform the guide directly once you receive your booking confirmation.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
