Come discover the Murge, the hilly area of the Salento peninsula, for a nature experience in the middle of the Alessano countryside.
Right here, an equestrian guide is waiting to accompany you on a 1-hour ride suitable for everyone!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Alessano (LE). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this easy level ride!
Once all participants have gathered, we will enter the riding stables to familiarise ourselves with the horses. We will then proceed to saddle up and attend an explanation of the basics of horse riding. The briefing will last for about 5 - 15 minutes, the time needed to feel secure in the saddle.
Once we are ready, we will leave the stables and our horseback riding can finally begin! We will explore the countryside of Alessano, enjoying a leisurely ride among dry stone walls and the vegetation of the Murge. During our ride we will also pass by a convent of cloistered nuns, and our guide will not fail to take some photos of us!
We will ride on an asphalt road and a dirt track within a ring-route that is about 4 km long and has some differences in altitude. The equestrian guide will accompany us along the entire route riding his horse.
We will then return to the meeting point. The experience will last 1 hour in total; the actual time of the horseback ride may vary depending on the time allocated for the initial briefing.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 6 and up; children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in the riding hall.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first horse ride.

The experience takes place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can wait at the riding stables. Leashed dogs are permitted.
An English saddle will be used for riding.
