Full description
Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and enjoy a few hours of relaxation in nature with this half-day horseback riding excursion in the Aosta Valley!
With this experience, you will explore the trails of the Aosta Valley and immerse yourself in a unique corner of the world, still strongly linked to its traditions and environment.
An equestrian guide will accompany you on a scenic route, guaranteeing you a pleasant, safe and unforgettable experience!
What we will do
The meeting point is 20 minutes before 10 a.m. at the equestrian centre in Vetan, a hamlet of Saint Pierre, a beautiful municipality not far from Aosta. We will be welcomed by instructors and accompanying equestrian tourism guides, qualified and ready to introduce us to the joys of riding.
We will begin with a 15-minute briefing to go over the basics of riding and prepare the horses. For the less experienced, there will be an opportunity to go over the basic techniques of riding a horse, until we reach a level of confidence that allows us to ride with peace of mind and safety.
The ride will start from Vetan, to wind its way along the unspoilt paths of the valley, towards the village of Saint Nicolas or Mont Fallère, depending on the route chosen by the guides for the day. Regardless of the route, majestic peaks, alpine pastures, forests and medieval castles will loom around us, making us feel as if we had gone back in time.
Halfway through the walk, we will stop for about 1 hour at Le Bistrot Gourmand in Saint-Nicolas or at the Refuge Mont Fallère for lunch (not included). Alternatively, it will be possible to take a packed lunch.
After eating, we will get back in the saddle to return to the equestrian centre. Once there, we will conclude the experience with a moment of horse care!
The activity will last a total of about 4 and a quarter hours, including 3 hours on horseback, and the route may vary depending on the participants' level of experience or following specific requests or needs (to be agreed with the guide).
