Who knows whether the aperitif existed in Etruscan times.
Fortunately, it now exists and cannot be missed on our horseback ride in the province of Viterbo: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride around the ancient village of Sutri, retracing history starting from the scenic Roman amphitheatre.
And finally, you will toast with your companions to the wonder of Tuscia Viterbo!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Sutri (VT). Awaiting us will be the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will meet the horses and proceed with the assignment. We will then mount the horses and get familiar with the course. The guide will not fail to provide the basics of riding and all useful information for a carefree experience. This first part will last approximately 10 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride in the natural setting of Sutri, an ancient village among the most beautiful in Italy, an important stop on the Via Francigena and Etruscan history. We will venture into the Regional Natural Park, enjoying a panoramic view of the ancient Roman amphitheatre and the village of Sutri; during the flowering period, we will also pass through a scenic lavandeto! The guide will lead the group on horseback and the walk will take place at the pace. This second part will last 1 hour or 2 hours depending on the option selected.
We will finally return to the meeting point, where an aperitif will be waiting for us: pizzas, meatballs, cold meats, chips and other delicacies depending on the availability of the day, accompanied by 1 alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. And it will be the perfect opportunity to toast the end of this adventure!
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the meeting point by an adult.
A maximum weight of 120 kg is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride. Experienced riders may request to trot at the guide's discretion.

The experience takes place all year round.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
