Who among us has not dreamed, at least once, of riding along the seafront, enjoying the intoxicating scent and sense of absolute freedom?
Make your dream come true with our horseback ride along the Ostia seafront. Starting from Castel Fusano, you will ride in the middle of nature with an equestrian guide, until you reach the beach, where you will be able to gallop off!
This walk is suitable for experienced riders, capable of handling all gaits.
What we will do
The appointment is at the riding school, near Ostia. Here the riding guide will be waiting for us, who will take us to meet the splendid trained horses.
We will then have a 5/10 minute briefing on the route and, after putting on ourequipment (protective helmet and possibly gaiters to protect our calves), we will set off on our horses towards the Pineta di Procoio.
We will then continue our ride towards the Pineta di Castel Fusano, one of the largest green areas in the city of Rome. We will ride for about 1 hour in unspoilt nature, among beautiful holm oaks and maritime pines, while the guide will accompany us with stories and curiosities about the flora and fauna of the place.
Afterwards, we will finally reach the Ostia seafront, where we can ride along the seashore, enjoying the gentle sea breeze and the wonderful landscape of the Roman coastline. In the last part of the ride on the beach, we will be able to gallop.
The total duration of the activity is 2 ½ hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
Important: this activity is of a difficult level. No type of licence (authorisation to ride) or specific mount is required, but you must be a regular rider, able to handle all gaits, from stride to gallop.
You can participate from the age of 18 and up and weigh less than 90 kg.

This activity is aimed at groups of 1 to 4 participants and can be carried out from October to May, subject to guide availability and favourable weather conditions.
It is possible to ride either English or American style. After booking confirmation, you can express your preferences directly to the guide.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
