Do you want to enjoy the beauty of the Tolfa Mountains in an original way? Our horseback ride is just the thing for you!
You will have the opportunity to explore the breathtaking views of the mountains and surrounding landscapes in the company of an expert guide. You will visit the White Birch Forest and the Caldara di Manziana, where you can admire the unspoilt nature and unique beauty of the volcanic depression.
On your return to the riding school, after about 3 hours of walking, you will enjoy a delicious aperitif to round off this fantastic experience!
What we will do
We will meet 15 minutes before the time selected at the riding school in Bracciano (RM), 15 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking. Here, we will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will introduce us to the magnificent trained horses.
We will then have a 15-minute briefing, in which we will briefly go over horse handling techniques as the experience is reserved for experienced riders. After that, we will be ready to go.
We will explore the beautiful countryside at the foot of the Tolfa Mountains, dotted with pastures of cows and horses and the remains of Etruscan civilisation, and the enchanting White Birch Forest. We will visit the Caldara di Manziana, a volcanic depression of karstic origin characterised by a series of wells and caves.
We will maintain awalking pace, with short trotting stretches, if the guide permits. In fact, the equestrian guide will accompany us on horseback all the way so as to guarantee maximum safety.
We will return to the riding stables after about 3 hours, where a delicious aperitif with wine or soft drinks, various snacks and a platter of cold meats and cheeses will be waiting for us. The experience will last approximately 3½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 16.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate. The participant must not be overweight and/or have mobility problems.
Experience on horseback is required to participate in this excursion. This means being able to handle the horse, being able to walk and trot. In the event that the experience requirement is not met, the activity may not take place and will not be reimbursed.
Other information
Horseback riding takes place all year round, weather permitting.
Long trousers must be worn to carry out the experience, otherwise the guide reserves the right not to carry out the activity.
There is the possibility of both American-style and English-style riding.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
