Immerse yourself in the unspoilt nature of the Pineta di Castel Fusano, near Ostia, with an exciting 2-hour horseback ride.
In the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride on the magnificent paths of the reserve, among holm oaks, maritime pines and endless open spaces, perfect for galloping. You will spend unforgettable moments in contact with nature and with a special friend, the horse.
This walk is suitable for those who already have a minimum of horse riding experience.
What we will do
The appointment is at the riding school, between Ostia Antica and Ostia Lido, a few kilometres from Rome. Here, an equestrian guide will be waiting for us, who will introduce us to the splendid trained horses.
We will have a 5-minute briefing on the activity and safety rules, and after donning our equipment, we will set off on our horses towards the Castel Fusano pine forest, a reserve of around 900 hectares and one of the largest green areas in the city of Rome.
We will ride immersed in unspoilt nature, among holm oaks and maritime pines, while the guide will accompany us with stories and curiosities about the flora and fauna of the place. The route is mainly wooded, with a short stretch on an asphalt road.
The total duration of the activity is 2 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an intermediate level. No licence (permission to ride) or specific mounts are required, but it is necessary to be able to walk and trot. You can participate from the age of 18 and up and with a weight of less than 90 kg.

This activity is aimed at groups of 1 to 4 participants and can take place all year round, subject to guide availability and favourable weather conditions.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
