Full description
Want to escape the daily hustle and bustle?
Jump into the saddle and let yourself be transported to the heart of Salento on a regenerating one-hour horseback ride. In a 6-km ride you will cross the beautiful Ugento countryside, past ancient farms, quarries and vast fields.
You will be accompanied by experienced and friendly guides who will teach you the basics of horse riding and make you fall in love with the company of docile and tame horses.
What we will do
The rendezvous is at the riding school in Ugento (LC), where equestrian guides will be waiting for us. In a briefing lasting about 10 minutes, we will be given all the necessary notions to put us at ease and in harmony with our new four-legged friend.
The horses are already saddled when we arrive and, once the briefing is over, we will be able to mount up and begin the ride. We will ride into the Ugento countryside, riding along a 6-km route through quarries and ancient farms.
The ride will follow quiet country paths and dirt roads, avoiding asphalt and immersing ourselves completely in the green heart of Salento. We will always have the instructor and a guide at the beginning of the line and a guide at the end of the line, to ensure maximum safety.
Halfway along the route, we will stop for a few minutes in a suggestive lay-by under the open sky, a perfect moment to get off the horse, stretch our legs and breathe in thefresh, fragrant air of the countryside.
Once back in the saddle, we will return to the stables after about an hour of riding.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 14 years of age. Previous experience on horseback is not required.
Other information
The walk takes place daily in the period from April to October. In the months of November to March, however, the walk is only held on Saturdays and Sundays. The activity is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
Thefee includes annual ACSI (Association of Italian Sports Centres)membership, valid for 365 days in all affiliated centres.
The riding school can only be reached by car.
