If you happen to feel the call of nature and the need to disconnect from everyday life, thishorseback excursion is perfect for you!
In the company of environmental equestrian guides you will experience a relaxing day riding along the woodland paths in the Ellero Valley, in the province of Cuneo.
At the end of the activity you will feel regenerated!
What we will do
We will meet at 9 a.m. in Lurisia Terme, a hamlet of Roccaforte Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo. We will meet the equestrian guides and after a briefing we will mount our horses to set off along the woodland paths. The first part of the route involves an ascent of about an hour, and then a descent along sections of medium difficulty that will take us into the heart of the Ellero Valley.
The Ellero Valley belongs to the territory of the Maritime Alps, and is a little-visited place of great natural beauty.
After visiting the length and breadth of the valley, we will stop at a typical restaurant for lunch (included) based on local specialities. We will satisfy the palate with traditional Piedmontese hors d'oeuvres, mushrooms, local cheeses and typical agnolotti del 'plin', stuffed with meat.
We will have lunch at our leisure and then take the road back, stopping at Prea, a delightful Occitan village, and the Pian del Lupo belvedere. The return to Lurisia Terme is scheduled for 5 p.m., after a distance of about 20 km.
Who it is aimed at
Good physical condition and a minimum age of 14 years are required.
To participate in this activity, the maximum weight is 100 kg; if you weigh 80 kg or more, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate your weight.
The experience is of medium difficulty and reserved for riders who know how to handle the horse independently (starting, braking, directing the animal); the ride will take place at pace.
Other information
The activity is bookable from May to November and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
If you are vegetarian/vegan or suffer from food intolerances, mention this to the guide after booking and we will devise a menu to suit your needs.
The equestrian centre provides helmets for those who do not have them (ask the guide after booking).
