Full description
Spend a day riding with a very special four-legged friend: the horse! Mount your horse and immerse yourself in the nature of the Lurisia valley, in Roccaforte Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo.
Riding along mule tracks and forest paths you will reach Lake Pianfei where you can relax, lie down on the grass and have a nice picnic, perhaps spotting deer and roe deer.
Let yourself be lulled by the rhythmic pace of the horse and enjoy a relaxing day in the green, far from the daily routine. You will come out regenerated in body and spirit!
What we will do
The appointment is at the riding school in Lurisia Terme, a hamlet of Roccaforte Mondovì (CN) at 9:00 am. Here we will meet our equestrian guide, who will hold a briefing on riding techniques before setting off.
The first part of the excursion will be on an asphalt road and then continue on a dirt track to the locality of Candele. Here we will take a mule track that will lead us to the Morté pass, where we will cross a chestnut forest to reach, after a couple of hours, the pretty Pianfei Lake. Here we will be able to relax on the shores of the lake and have a picnic in the picnic area.
Once we have regained our energy, we set off again to enter the forest. Between ascents and descents, we will cross the quiet hamlets of Garavagna and Bonada, until we return to Lurisia at around 17:00.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open for ages 14 and up.
To participate in this activity, the maximum weight is 100 kg; if you weigh 80 kg or more, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate your weight.
The experience is of medium difficulty and reserved for riders who know how to handle the horse independently (starting, braking, directing the animal); the ride will take place at pace.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
