Full description
There are plenty of reasons to go horse riding. Would you like to know at least three?
First: riding in nature is absolutely rejuvenating. You are in the saddle, surrounded by greenery, and you forget your daily worries. Second: it allows you to explore wonderful but little-known places such as the Piana di Demonte, near Cuneo, in an exciting way. Last but not least: the horse makes you use muscles you didn't even think you had anymore!
Join us for a 2½-hour horse riding experience in the Stura di Demonte Valley and you will even have a fourth reason: a tasty aperitif at the end of the ride.
What we will do
We will meet at the riding school in Demonte (CN), a village in the Stura Valley, where our equestrian guide and horses will be waiting for us.
Before climbing into the saddle and starting our 8 km-long ride, we will have a short introductory briefing of about 10 minutes. The guide will give us some information about the course of the ride and explain American riding. Not only that, we will get all the useful information on how to direct and stop the horse.
After the briefing, we will put on our helmets and harnesses and climb into the saddle. The route is very easy and will take us across the beautiful Piana di Demonte, near the Stura River.
We will immerse ourselves for almost 2 hours in a wonderful natural landscape with maple, ash, chestnut and oak trees. Once we arrive near the Alpine river, we will even admire vast fields and meadows while riding our horses. The guide will accompany us on foot throughout the hike, so that we can be as safe as possible.
Once back at the stables, anaperitif (included) will be waiting for us, including a platter of cold cuts and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We will be able to choose a drink from those on offer and toast with the rest of the group to the magnificent experience we have just had.
Between the briefing, walk and aperitif, the experience lasts a total of about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 1 year. Children aged 1 to 5 years participate on the same horse as the parent; children aged 6 to 14 years ride independently led by the guide via a harness.
