Full description
If horses immediately make you think of prairies and westerns, it's time to saddle up for a one-hour horseback ride with American riding, the typical cowboy style.
This is the perfect activity to learn the basic commands of horse riding and proceed at pace along a ring route through woods, meadows and streams in the province of Isernia.
Of course, Molise is not the typical setting of a Sergio Leone film, but the view of the Mainarde and Matese mountains will not be outdone!
What we will do
We will meet in Sant'Agapito (IS), 15 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking.
Upon arrival, we will make an initial approach to get to know the horses, after which we will move on to the preparation of the animals. Theinstructor will explain the basic commands for carrying out the walk with an American mount, the style historically used by cowboys.
Once the preparation is over, it will be time to get on the saddle to begin the ride, accompanied by one or two guides depending on the size of the group. Leaving the riding stables, we will take a circular route that will take us through small woods, meadows and streams around Sant'Agapito.
We will proceed at a leisurely pace and on the way we will be able to admire the hilly landscape, with a spectacular view dominated by the Mainarde mountain group and, on the opposite side, the Matese massif. Making our route varied and interesting will be small ascents and descents and different types of terrain, including rocks, grass and dirt.
We will return to the meeting point after 1 hour of activity.

The activity is also suitable for beginners from the age of 14.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The maximum weight for participation is 100 kg.

The activity takes place all year round, every day, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants.
The type of riding used is American riding.
The equestrian centre has a large car park, but is not accessible by public transport. There is a year-round bar on site, where any accompanying persons can stay. Dogs on a leash are also allowed at the centre.
It is advisable not to carry rucksacks during the walk; it is preferable to have a baby carrier.
