On one side the Gran Sasso, on the other the river Tirino. We no longer know where to look!
You are spoilt for choice by participating in our horseback ride in the province of L'Aquila: you will ride in the beautiful natural setting of the Tirino Valley, through vineyards and along the river.
A 3-hour experience, including a lunch with panoramic views!
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Capestrano (AQ). Awaiting us will be the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will each return on board our own means of transport to reach the starting point of the excursion (approximately 1 km away). Once on site and having handed over the equipment, we will proceed with the assignment of the horses and riding. We will learn the basics of riding and receive all the information we need for a carefree experience. This moment will last about 15 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride through the beautiful Tirino Valley, through a scenic vineyard and along the river; the Gran Sasso and Sirente Mountains will be the backdrop. The guide will lead the group on horseback, providing constant support. The horseback ride will last two hours.
We will then return to our starting point, board our vehicle and return to the meeting point. Here we will find a terrace lunch waiting for us: the menu includes an appetiser and first course, accompanied by water, 1 glass of wine and coffee. In the background, the wonderful panoramic view of the Tirino Valley!
The experience will last a total of 3 hours.

The experience is suitable from the age of 18.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride.

Attention! The experience requires independent travel by own vehicle.
The experience takes place from March to September and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

Any accompanying persons can wait at the meeting point, which has a panoramic terrace, toilet, bar and restaurant.
Dogs are allowed at the meeting point. A dogsitting service is available for experience participants at a cost of €10.00 per animal: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to request the service with payment on site.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
