Horse riding along the Issiglio horse trail in Canavese

Enjoy a horseback ride along the Issiglio bridle path, an 18 km route immersed in the beautiful nature of the Valchiusella valley.

You will ride along the Canavese's second certified bridle path in the company of an expert equestrian guide, who will show you places of great scenic charm. 

You will admire Palasot, a characteristic mountain location that gives the impression of resting on a cloud, and evocative broadleaf and birch woods in the saddle of the best travelling companion, the horse.

What we will do

The appointment is at 10 a.m. at the pre-arranged meeting point near Issiglio, in Valchiusella. Here we will meet our guide and the splendid trained horses that will accompany us on our tour.

We will ride together along theIssiglio bridle path, the second certified bridle path in the Canavese (after the Cima Bossola bridle path). The trail is about 18 km long , safe and suitable for everyone, in the shade of birch, elm and oak trees. It will be a roughly 2-hour walk and of great emotional impact due to the beauty of the places, which will make us forget the stress of everyday life for a moment.

We will then reach, with an altitude difference of 600 metres, Palasot, a pleasant mountain locality located above the village of Castelnuovo Nigra.

We will also make a stop at the Locanda del Palasot, a characteristic restaurant immersed in the greenery of the valley. Here we can relax and enjoy traditional Piedmontese dishes (service not included), before returning on horseback in the direction of Issiglio. It will take about 2 hours to return to the starting point.

The activity lasts approximately 6 hours, including the 2-hour lunch break.

Who it is aimed at

Important: this activity is at anintermediate level and is intended for those who already have experience on horseback. However ,beginners have the option of participating in the activity for an additional charge of 50 euros, as they will have a dedicated guide who will follow them on foot throughout the entire route.

If you have no horse riding experience, we recommend theshort excursion.

To participate in the activity, you must be at least 14 years old and weigh less than 90 kg.
