Full description
Hop into the saddle and ride on the shores of Lake Mezzola in the company of an equestrian guide. Meet the horses, learn basic riding techniques and venture around Sondrio in Valchiavenna. Along the way we will ride through the Samolaco plain, amidst the colours and scents of cultivated fields.
An excursion of about an hour in which you will establish a relationship with the horse and at the end of which you will not want to get out of the saddle!
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before the time selected when booking at the meeting point in Samolaco, in the province of Sondrio. We will be welcomed by our guide together with his horses kept in the wild, to which you will become attached during the excursion.
Before mounting the horse, the guide will give us an explanation of basic riding techniques including how to start, how to steer and how to brake the horse. If you already have horse riding experience, this will be an opportunity to demonstrate your skills during a field test and request to ride independently.
We will then all be ready to climb into the saddle and ride along a roughly one-hour itinerary that will take us to the shore of Lake Mezzola, nestled between the mountains of Valtellina and Valchiavenna. It will be a moment to regenerate in contact with nature, admiring the emerald waters of the lake in which we will also be able to ride our steed! The guide will lead participants ashore with a longhorn and provide constant support during the experience.
We will then return to our starting point. The excursion will last approximately 1 hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate with a signed authorisation from a parent.
A maximum weight of 80 kg is required to participate.
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.

The experience takes place all year round.
The guide leads participants on foot with a harness. In the case of experienced participants, it will be possible to request to ride independently after a 15-minute field test (the total duration of the experience will therefore be 1 hour 15 minutes).
Itis mandatory to wear a T-shirt, long trousers and trainers; shorts, skirts and sandals are not suitable for the experience.
It ismandatory not to bring backpacks, bags and fanny packs; please leave them in the car.
It is compulsory to reduce mobile phone use and switch to silent mode to immerse yourself as much as possible in the experience.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
