Riding in Rome? Yes you can, by taking our horse riding lesson!
A riding instructor awaits you at a riding school in Ostia, on the outskirts of the capital. Here you will become familiar with the horse, preparing it before the lesson; you will then climb into the saddle and put into practice the basic riding techniques learned.
A one-hour experience, after which you will never want to get out of the saddle!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ostia (RM). I am your riding instructor and upon your arrival I will welcome you to my riding school!
The first phase of the experience consists of preparing the horse, in which you will actively participate. In this phase you will clean and saddle the horse; in the meantime you may find yourself showering your horse with (many) caresses, with which you will begin to become familiar.
Then it is time to get on the saddle: the riding lesson will be customised according to the experience level of the participants; in the case of children it will be particularly playful. The following English riding techniques are generally taught: how to start and how to brake the horse, how to steer the horse, and how to beat the saddle. After this lesson you will be ready to experience trotting on a future riding occasion!
At the end you will clean the horse again and accompany it to its stall. The entire experience will last a total of 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 3; children under 18 do not need to be accompanied by an adult but must be able to provide parental identification on arrival at the riding school.
To participate in this activity, the maximum weight limit is 90 kg.
No horse riding experience is required to participate in this activity.
Other information
The experience takes place from January to December and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
The activity takes place subject to weather conditions at the organiser's discretion.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons may remain in the dedicated area at the riding stables.
Leashed dogs are welcome at the riding stables.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
