A symbol of Apulia? The masseria!
Take part in our horseback ride in Nardò: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride through the beautiful scenery of the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park, among lush vegetation and historic masserias.
And it is precisely in these that a tasting of Apulian products will take place!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Nardò (LE). On site we will meet the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will meet the horses and proceed with the assignment. Having received the equipment, we will mount the saddle and learn the basics of horse riding; the guide will provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride:
- 1-hour horse back ride: we will venture into the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park, riding through the woods.
- 2-hour horseback ride: we will venture into the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park, riding through the woods, passing historic farmhouses and enjoying the panoramic view of the sea.
- 3-hour horse ride: we will venture into the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park riding through the woods to the Torre dell'Alto belvedere, where we will enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and as far as Gallipoli. In the autumn and spring months we will also reach the Bay of Porto Selvaggio; in the summer months we will simply wave from afar in respect of the bathing season.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point and reach a nearby masseria (farmhouse) that will host us for a tasting of Apulian products: taralli, friselle, salumi, cheeses, meatballs, frittatine, garden vegetables, and other delicacies according to the availability of the day, accompanied by a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic alternative.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under the age of 18 may participate unaccompanied.
The experience requires a maximum weight of 110 kg.
The experience is not suitable for persons with motor disabilities.
This experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride. The guide leads on horseback. The horse ride takes place exclusively at the pace.
Other information
Attention! Long trousers and closed-toe shoes must be worn to participate. If the clothing requirement is not met, the experience may not take place and may not be reimbursed at the guide's discretion.
The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate any dietary requirements.
Dogs are allowed in the riding stables: contact the guide at the contact details given in the e-mail confirming your booking to indicate the presence of your four-legged friend, who must remain in the stables during the experience.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
