Full description
Is the view of Porto Selvaggio more beautiful or a frisella topped with garden vegetables? We don't feel like answering that.
And you won't have to either, if you choose to participate in our horseback ride: an equestrian guide will take you on a ride through the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park, discovering the ancient masserie in the province of Lecce.
A 1.5-hour ride, to which you can add a tasty aperitif based on local products!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Nardò (LE). I, your equestrian guide, will be there to welcome you at the stables!
Once all the participants have gathered, you will meet my beloved horses: I will help you get on the saddle with English riding and provide you with the basics of horseback riding so that you can enjoy this experience without any worries.
Then our adventure in the saddle will begin: we will ride into the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park, along abridle path with mixed terrain; we will also ride through a forest! Along the way, we will encounter two of the largest masserias in the province of Lecce: Masseria Torrenova and Masseria Brusca.
After riding about 4/5 km for a1.5-hour riding experience, we will return to the riding school. If you have selected the"walk + aperitif" option, you will find a rich aperitif (included) based on local products, some of which come from Masseria Brusca and the riding school's vegetable garden. The walk only experience will last a total of 2 hours; the walk with aperitif experience will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under 18 do not need to be accompanied by an adult.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate in this activity.
This experience is of an easy level, suitable for a first horse ride.
The activity is not suitable for people with physical disabilities.
Other information
Attention. Clothing requirements must be met in order to participate in the activity. In the event of non-compliance, the experience may not take place and will not be reimbursed.
The experience is available from January to December.
There is a car park on site with space for trailers to transport horses. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Theaperitif includes typical local products such as cured meats, cheeses, friselline, vegetables from the garden and whatever is available on the day, as well as water and wine. If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate them.
Accompanying persons may stay at the riding stables. If accompanying persons wish to take part in the aperitif, they will have to pay €12.00 per person on site (includes aperitif and membership); contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to forward your request.
Leashed dogs are allowed at the stables if they are used to dealing with horses.
You can participate in this activity in the company of your horse at a reduced price: €20.00 per person for the walk only, €30 per person for walk with aperitif; contact us to forward your booking.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
