Discover the nature and landscapes of the Cottian Alps and Val Sangone, in the province of Turin, on ahorseback excursion on Monte Cuneo.
In the company of local equestrian guides, you will ride along unspoilt trails that will take you to the summit of the mountain at 641 m above sea level. a modest height compared to other peaks but which, due to its location, offers a spectacular view of the valley and the mountains all around.
An opportunity to explore an area still little frequented by mass tourism and to experience magnificent moments of communion with the environment, with nature and with an extraordinary animal such as the horse. Get ready to saddle up!
What we will do
We will meet around 9 a.m. in Avigliana (TO). We will be welcomed by the riding guide, horses will be assigned to us and, after a briefing on the route and basic riding techniques - especially useful for beginners - we will be ready to set off in the direction of Monte Cuneo.
Also known by the name of Moncuni, it is part of theRivoli-Avigliana morainic amphitheatre, a set of reliefs of glacial origin generated over millennia by the accumulation of sediment.
Riding our horses, we will ascend in altitude through nature trails rich in vegetation, among dense chestnut and pine forests. Along the way, nature will strike us with its colours, scents and enchanting scenery and, between one glimpse and another, we will increasingly connect with our animal friend, the true protagonist of this adventure!
Once we reach the top of Monte Cuneo, we will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Val Sangone and the surrounding mountain groups, including Monviso. We will take the opportunity to relax, let the horses rest and refresh ourselves with a packed lunch. Then, taking it easy, we will resume the hike on other scenic trails to be back at the stable around 4pm.
In total, the activity lasts about 7.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open to riders of all levels, from beginners to experts, provided they have a minimum of riding experience. Participation is possible from 14 years of age.

This activity can be carried out from April to September, subject to weather conditions and the guide's availability.
The guide will try to organise the groups according to level of experience and ability on horseback, so that they are as homogeneous as possible.
