2-hour horse ride on Monte Gaggio in Garda Trentino

Enjoy a mountain walk amidst the views of Trentino: this2-hour excursion will take you to the top of Monte Gaggio to admire views of the Brenta Dolomites and Monte Bondone.

Make friends with your horse before the hike, then saddle up for an adventure through the forest trails and regenerate in contact with nature.

What we will do

We will meet at the time agreed at the time of booking at the ranch in Cavedine (TN).

In the case of riders with an intermediate level, the first half-hour will be a practical test in the field to become familiar with the horse and understand how to handle it, while advanced riders will proceed more quickly to the start.

The approximately 8 km route will take us through forests and mountain trails with ascents and descents, small rocks and exposed passages. We will immerse ourselves completely in the nature of Garda Trentino, finding a rhythm of well-being and connection with the elements around us.

We will ride to a vantage point on Monte Gaggio, from where we can admire the surrounding peaks, from the Brenta Dolomites to Monte Bondone, as well as Lake Cavedine. Embracing such a view with our gaze will make us feel a step away from heaven!

The walk will be mainly at the pace, but if you wish you can try trotting at some point along the route. Galloping will be assessed according to the group and the type of terrain.

Return to the ranch is scheduled 2 hours after the start of the experience, including the initial briefing.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is open to anyoneover the age of 14.

An average level of experience (having participated in other rides or having taken riding lessons and having the ability to manage small trotting distances) or advanced level (having taken a riding course, riding regularly and being able to manage all gaits) is required.

The maximum weight allowed for the activity is 110 kg.

After confirming your booking, inform the guide of your height and level of experience to facilitate horse assignment.

Other information

The experience takes place throughout the year and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.

You will ride American-style.

At the ranch you will find about 30 horses, including ponies, Sardinian ponies and thoroughbred horses. The main breeds are Paint horse, Quarter horse, Haflingher and Anglo-Arab. The horses live in herds, in a large paddock paradise and are unshod to ensure their well-being. The ranch embraces the philosophy ofnatural horsemanship , which involves communicating with the horses in order to understand their needs and respect them.

No bags or backpacks are allowed during the ride for safety reasons.
