We found nature just a few steps from Rome.
Take part in our horseback ride in Ostia: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride through the Roman Littoral Nature Reserve, among holm oaks and maritime pines.
An experience of more than 2 hours, in the green heart of the capital!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ostia (RM) . On site, we will meet the Questre guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will get acquainted and proceed with the assignment of the horse. We will learn how to communicate with the animal, before mounting the saddle and learning the basics of horse riding. The guide will provide all useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture into the Litorale Romano State Nature Reserve, riding through the pine forest among holm oaks and maritime pines, in an unspoilt setting just a short distance from the city.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point where, each with his or her own means of transport, we will reach the nearby bistro that will host us for an aperitif: this will consist of a board of cold cuts, seasonal vegetables, carasau bread, and other 0 km products; accompanying alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.
Between the initial briefing, horseback riding and aperitif, the experience lasts a total of about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 9 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the riding school by a parent to sign a release form. A maximum of 2 children aged 9 to 13 may participate per booking.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride.
Participation is not permitted for persons with hip, knee or reduced mobility problems or those with prostheses.

The experience takes place all year round.
Options are available for people with allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences: please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate any dietary requirements.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. The experience requires a transfer by own vehicle to reach the bistro where the aperitif takes place, about 1 km from the meeting point.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
