Fancy an immersion in nature?
Discover anatural oasis a few kilometres from Rome and enjoy ahorseback ride in the Veio Park among wooded paths, meadows, streams and historic ruins.
Climb into the saddle of your new friend and let your equestrian guide lead you along evocative routes immersed in the green and suitable for riders of all levels.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Campagnano di Roma, which can be reached in about 40 minutes by car from the capital, in the direction of Lakes Bracciano and Martignano.
Equestrian guides will welcome us and introduce us to our companions in adventure, some magnificent , tame and perfectly trained horses. Before we begin, we will have a short introductory lesson so that we can enjoy the excursion in peace even if we have never ridden a horse before.
Then we will mount the saddle and set off on an exploration of the Veio Park, along green paths and meadows where we will meet cows and grazing horses. We will ride as far as the Cremera stream, the Sacrofano forest or the ruins of Veio.
The route will be selected by the guide according to the participants' level and the activity will last a total of 3 hours, including the introductory lesson.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone. The important thing is to be at least 5 years old and weigh no more than 100 kg.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, even if not participating, until the end of the activity.
No previous experience on horseback is required.
Other information
The activity can take place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
It is not possible to carry backpacks or bags on the excursion. Horses are equipped with saddlebags in which to place small personal items such as mobile phones, wallets and keys.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, but a free shuttle service is available from Campagnano Romano and a paid shuttle service is available from Rome at a cost of €50.00 each way: contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to request the service.
