Full description
The horse, a strong and majestic animal. Have you ever tried to ride one? To climb into the saddle, feel the reins in your hands while observing the landscape around you and caressing its soft mane?
This is your chance to enjoy this unique experience in the Castelporziano pine forest, near Rome. You will cross a natural oasis among maritime pines and archaeological remains on the back of this beautiful animal.
And if you have never ridden a horse? No problem: an equestrian guide will teach you the basics and accompany you during the one-hour horseback ride.
What we will do
We will meet at Castelporziano (RM), where we will first meet our guide for this adventure and then get to know the horse that will accompany us during the ride.
A short briefing on the basic rules of horse handling and instructions for English riding... and off we go!
We will immediately enter the Castelporziano pine forest, a small treasure chest of bio-diversity just a stone's throw from Rome. We will listen to the many stories our guide will tell us about this pine forest and the flora and fauna present, which we will try to spot during the walk.
In the distance, we will admire Pliny's villa, an archaeological find that hides seconds of history. The only bastion of civilisation, the rest of the route is a succession of natural views that we will be able to admire at our leisure.
The experience lasts about an hour and ends with the return to the riding school.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 6 and a maximum weight of 120 kg. Children under 14 will be accompanied by a walking guide, who will lead the animal by hand throughout the walk.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
