Horseback riding in the Roman countryside

You already know the Colosseum of Rome, but with this horseback ride you can discover the beauty of theAgro Romano! Come to the province of Rome and immerse yourself in nature with a ride of about 3 km through the hills surrounding the Italian capital.

Get in tune with your horse, saddle it with an equestrian technician and ride through the beautiful meadows that colour the area.

Mount your horse and ride along for an hour of relaxation and fun. Then, if you wish, end the day with a tasty aperitif. Rome and its province never disappoint!

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Capannelle (RO), where our guide will be waiting for us. The first 30 minutes of the experience will be devoted toapproaching the horse, during which we will take care of it by cleaning and saddling it with the help of some equestrian technicians.

Once in tune with our horse, we will set off on a one-hour ride in the green area surrounding the city of Rome: theAgro Romano. During the approximately 3 km route, we will ride past stables, horse racing tracks and theCiampino Area, where racehorses are bred. We will then continue on, immersing ourselves in the surrounding nature, admiring the scenery of the Latium hills and crossing a charming tree-lined avenue framed by pine trees.

Passing through thisrural area we will feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city and, as we proceed at our own pace, we will be able to enjoy therelaxing atmosphere that surrounds us. At the end of the activity we will return to the starting point and those who wish can enjoy a tasty aperitif. In fact, when booking, it will be possible to select theoption with or without an aperitif.

The experience, including the time spent approaching the horse, will last a total of one and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for people over the age of 18.

Participants must have a maximum weight of 95 kg.

The activity is available from May to January.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

The riding is English-style. The gait is at a walking pace, with the possibility of trotting or galloping for short distances. Depending on experience, the guide may accompany on foot or on horseback.

For safety reasons, any backpacks and/or bags containing personal items must be placed in a locker in the riding hall and are not permitted during the ride.

You must present yourself on site with proof of identity, otherwise the guide reserves the right not to carry out the activity.

When booking, it is possible to select the"with aperitif" option if, after the walk, you would like to stop by the riding stables for an aperitif with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktail and snacks such as cheese, cold cuts, pizza and chips.
