Horseback riding in the Sele Valley with aperitif at sunset

Treat yourself to a nature escape with a horseback ride to discover the Sele Valley.

In Contursi Terme you can ride with a guide along the course of the Sele river, immersing yourself in the surrounding woods and countryside.

You will end the adventure with an aperitif on the meadow, kissed by the colours of the sunset!

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Contursi Terme (SA), 15 minutes before the indicated time.

After getting to know the guide and our horses, we will have a short introductory lesson of 10-15 minutes to familiarise ourselves with the animals and basic commands.

Preceded by the guide on horseback, we will then set out on a ride and venture along a loop trail through the vegetation of the Sele Valley, a bucolic area of Campania that offers unspoilt panoramas of hills and fertile plains.

We will proceed at a leisurely pace, skirting the countryside and the Sele river, which we can also ford for a bit of extra adventure. The walk will include stretches of dirt track, asphalt and paths with slight differences in height.

Once back at the facility, an aperitif will be waiting for us on the lawn with cold meats, cheeses and seasonal side dishes, to be enjoyed in the romantic light of sunset.

The activity will last about one and a half hours in total, including about 55 minutes of walking.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for 14-year-olds and up. Minors may do the activity alone in the company of the guide, presenting a release form signed by the parent.

Ridingexperience is not required.

The maximum weight for participants is 100 kg.

Other information

The activity takes place from April to October.

If conditions do not allow for fording the Sele River, the river can be skirted: in this case, the duration of the walk could be reduced from 55 to 45 minutes.

The American mount is used for the walk.

Any accompanying persons may remain at the riding stables during the activity; dogs on a leash are permitted.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. Free parking is available on site.
