Full description
A castle and a knight. These are not the ingredients of a fairytale but of our horseback ride!
In the company of an equestrian guide, you will venture for 2 hours into the Serio River Park. You will ride on the riverbank and cross it to approach the scenic Malpaga Castle in the saddle of your steed.
And yes, you will be the protagonist of this fairy tale written in the province of Bergamo!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Capannelle, a hamlet in the municipality of Grassobbio (BG). Welcoming us to the stables will be our equestrian guide, who will accompany us on this adventure in the saddle!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will get to know the horses: the guide will assign us the best one based on our physical characteristics and level of experience. We will begin to bond with our adventure companion by grooming and saddling it in preparation for the ride.
Having donned the equipment, we will mount the horse and learn the basics of riding during a field exercise. And here we are ready to set off on a ride with English or American mounts: we will venture into the Serio River Park, a natural setting not far from the centre of Bergamo. We will ride along the bank of the river and, if the height of the water permits, we will ford it until we get close to Malpaga Castle.
With the mountains of Bergamo and Brescia in the background, we will finally return to the stables. Here we will unharness and clean our horse, before saying goodbye to it. The horse ride will last 2 hours; the total experience will last 2 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 18.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The excursion is of medium level: the route is easy and suitable for a first horse ride, but due to its duration and presence of ups and downs, it could be physically demanding if you are not trained.
Other information
The experience is available from March to October.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can stay at the riding stables where there are vending machines. Leashed dogs are permitted in the riding hall.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
