Experience nature and animals in the Tuscia Viterbese!
In the company of our equestrian guide, take part in a 1.5-hour horseback ride along wooded paths dating back to the Etruscan period. Passing through the village of Montecalvello, you will then reach a farm inhabited by friendly animals with whom you will have fun interacting.
What we will do
The appointment is 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Vallebona, near Grotte Santo Stefano (VT). Awaiting us will be the equestrian guide and riding instructor who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will get to know the horses and mount the saddle; for those arriving on site further in advance, it will also be possible to participate in the preparation of the horse and saddling up. The guide will then explain the basics of riding to us during a trial ride in the field. This first moment will last approximately 15 minutes.
It is then that our horseback ride will begin: we will venture into the nature of Tuscia Viterbese, along wooded paths characterised by gentle ups and downs; the guide will lead us on horseback and provide us with constant support. We will then reach the village of Montecalvello, which we will cross in the saddle and where we will dismount to visit the educational farm owned by the guide: we will meet the animals that live there, from alpacas to Tibetan goats; we will be able to stroke them and feed them! The time on the farm will last about 20 minutes but could vary if you decide to ride up to Montecalvello Castle, which is only 200 metres away.
Back in the saddle, after riding for about 7 km, we will arrive at the meeting point. The horse ride will last 1 ½ hours; the total experience will last 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the walk by a participating adult or in the riding hall by a responsible adult for signing the release form.
A maximum weight of 120 kg is required to participate in the activity.

The experience takes place all year round at weekends and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can wait in the riding hall. Leashed dogs are allowed on the riding stables.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
