Full description
Saddle up and let the wind caress your face as you ride along the trails of the Laga Mountains in Abruzzo.
This 3-hour ride is suitable for those who, like you, already have some confidence in horse riding and want to test themselves on an itinerary of unique charm.
From the locality of Ceppo, at an altitude of 1,300 metres, you will ride up to the 2,000 metres of Lago dell'Orso, where your breathing becomes deeper and the view opens up to enchanting scenery.
What we will do
We will meet at the time chosen at the time of booking in Ceppo, a hamlet of Rocca Santa Maria.
After getting to know our horse and a brief review of the controls, we will set off. Our approximately 15 km route will first take us through the Bosco dei Faggi Torti forest, a place that will enchant us with its unspoilt beauty.
As we ascend in altitude, we will notice the landscape change: the meadows will give way to rocks and the sky will seem closer and closer. We will reach the 2,000 metres of Lago dell'Orso, a glacial lake that is now dry and a witness to past eras.
Here we will stop near a hut for a snack (included) with water, wine and a sandwich to recharge our batteries and let the horses rest. While we rest, we will enjoy the boundless views of the Laga Mountains, with the peak of Pizzo di Moscio in the distance.
After the rest we will set off again and finally return to the stables. The activity lasts a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for people with previous experience on horseback, e.g. having done other walks or taken riding lessons.
The minimum age is 14 years; minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The maximum weight for participants is 150 kg.

The activity takes place from June to September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants.
