Do you know the Faraglioni di Sant'Andrea? Yes, you have certainly seen them in some photos.
That's because they are one of Salento's most photographed attractions and, as of today, they are also the destination of our horseback ride! Ride from Melendugno in the company of an equestrian guide to this spectacle of nature, through the Mediterranean maquis.
A 1-hour experience, discovering the 'Jentu' area.
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Melendugno (LE). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure on horseback!
Having gathered all the participants, we will be given ourequipment and one by one we will climb into the saddle with the guide's support. The basics of horse riding will then be explained to us and a field test will take place to familiarise ourselves with the animal before going out for a ride.
It is then that the adventure can begin: we will ride through the countryside and pine forest characterised by Mediterranean scrub until we reach the Faraglioni di Sant'Andrea. In front of us we will have one of the most photographed attractions of the Salento, a true spectacle of nature! The itinerary is mostly on footpaths and includes a few short crossings on asphalt, in safety.
We will then return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last one hour; the total experience will last one and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 2 years of age. Children aged 2 to 7 years share the horse with an adult; maximum 1 child per adult. Children under the age of 18 (and over the age of 7), who participate in the experience on their own, must be accompanied by an adult in the riding stable.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons may stay at the riding stables where there is a children's play area. Dogs on a leash are allowed at the riding school, but it is necessary to contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to indicate their presence.
