Full description
In the province of Rome hides a place where you can reconnect with nature.
We are talking about the Mentana countryside, far from the chaos of the city and perfect to explore on our guided horseback ride!
A1-hour excursion in the midst of greenery, among orchards and lush trees.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Mentana (RM). We will be welcomed at the stables by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this horseback ride!
Upon arrival, we will be assigned a horse and will mount the saddle following the guide's instructions. At this point, our ride can finally begin: we will ride around the Mentana countryside, in a rural landscape dotted with poplars, Grottaferrata pines and fruit trees. We will move along dirt roads and meadows, following an itinerary about 20 km long with a few easy climbs that we will learn to tackle.
During the excursion, the guide, who will lead the group on horseback, will give a real riding lesson, illustrating the basics of the discipline.
We will then return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 1 hour; the total experience will last 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children from 6 years of age; children under 18 do not need to be accompanied by an adult. If children from 6 to 10 years of age are present, it is necessary to contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to indicate their presence.
A maximum weight of 95 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first horse ride.
Other information
The experience takes place every weekend of the year, except in August and on public holidays.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
It is not possible to carry rucksacks during the hike. The riding stables do not have lockers, so it is advisable to leave personal items in the car or in the custody of any accompanying persons.
Any accompanying persons can wait in the riding stables clubhouse, which is equipped with a toilet and vending machine. Leashed dogs with muzzles are permitted.
