Riding lesson and horseback riding in the Oltrepò Pavese area

Acomplete riding experience for a first time on horseback.

Grooming, to get close to the animal and gain confidence. Riding lesson, to learn the basics of the discipline. Horse riding, to put into practice what you have learned with theriding instructor and explore the natural scenery around Salice Terme in the saddle.

And when you return to the stables, you will toast to this experience of over 1 hour!

What we will do

Please arrive 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Rivanazzano (PV). We’ll be welcomed at the riding school by our riding instructor, along with his magnificent horses roaming freely!

On arrival, we’ll collect the horses and begin the experience with the grooming session: a first introduction to the horse, during which we’ll groom it, saddle it and , of course, give it a good cuddle! Meanwhile, the instructor will share some insights into equine behaviour to help us get to know the horses better. This initial phase will last approximately 20 minutes.

We’ll then get kitted out and head to the round pen where the riding lesson will take place: the instructor, keeping us on the ground with a lead rope, will teach us the basics of riding, and we’ll have the chance to put what we’ve learnt into practice with a series of exercises. This second stage will last approximately 20 minutes.

We’ll then be ready for our horse ride: we’ll venture out into the countryside around the riding school, riding in the English style across a meadow surrounded by woodland. The scenery will be panoramic, stretching from Salice Terme to the mountains; if the sky is clear, you can even see the Alps! This third stage will last approximately 20 minutes; the instructor usually accompanies us on foot, holding the lead rope.

Finally, we’ll return to the riding centre where we’ll be greeted with an aperitif, a ‘reinforced’ aperitif or lunch, depending on the option selected. The aperitif consists of crisps and other classic nibbles accompanied by an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink; the ‘reinforced’ aperitif consists of a platter of local cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by a wine tasting; lunch consists of a first course, a platter of local cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by a wine tasting, and coffee. The entire experience will last approximately one and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable from the age of 15. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the riding hall.

A maximum weight of 85 kg is required to participate.

The activity is of an easy level and suitable as a first time riding.

Other information

The aperitif experience takes place all year round. The experience with a reinforced aperitif or lunch takes place from April to October.

The duration of the individual moments that make up the activity (grooming, riding lesson, horseback ride) may vary depending on the number and experience level of the participants.

Options for persons with allergies and food preferences are not available.

Any accompanying persons may stay at the riding stables where there is a covered, heated clubhouse. Leashed dogs kept by accompanying persons are allowed in the riding hall.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
