Animmersion in nature or a journey through history?
Both, by taking part in our horseback ride in Vallebona: on the one hand you will venture into the natural setting of Tuscia Viterbese, on the other you will ride along paths dating back to the Etruscan period.
A1-hour excursion in the company of an equestrian guide and his trusty animals!
What we will do
The appointment is 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Vallebona, near Grotte Santo Stefano (VT). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide and riding instructor who will accompany us on this adventure!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will meet the horses and mount the saddle; for those who arrive on site further in advance, it will also be possible to participate in the preparation of the horse and saddling up. The guide will then explain the basics of riding , which we will put into practice during a trial ride in the field. This first moment will last approximately 15 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture along a ring route around the riding school, immersing ourselves in the nature of Tuscia Viterbese. Along the way, we will spot the village of Montecalvello on the horizon with its castle of the same name and caves dating back to Etruscan times. We will tackle gentle ups and downs, following wooded paths not accessible to cars for a carefree experience; the guide will lead us on horseback and provide constant support.
After about 4 km, we will finally return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 1 hour; the total experience will last 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the walk by a participating adult or in the riding hall by a responsible adult for signing the release form.
A maximum weight of 120 kg is required to participate in the activity.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round at weekends and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can wait in the riding hall. Leashed dogs are allowed on the riding stables.
