A chance to immerse yourself in nature or a journey through history?
Both, by joining our horse ride in Vallebona: on the one hand, you’ll venture into the natural setting of the Tuscia Viterbese region; on the other, you’ll follow trails dating back to Etruscan times.
A 1- or 2-hour excursion, in the company of an equestrian guide and their trusty horses!
What we will do
We’ll meet 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Vallebona, near Grotte Santo Stefano (VT) . Once there, we’ll meet the riding guide who’ll be accompanying us on this adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, we’ll meet the horses and mount up; for those arriving a little earlier, there’ll be an opportunity to help with preparing and saddling the horses. The guide will then explain the basics of horse riding, which we’ll put into practice during a trial ride in the field. This part lasts about 15 minutes.
And now we’re ready for our horse ride: we’ll venture into the countryside of the Tuscia Viterbese region, in search of sights dating back to the Etruscan period. Along the way, we’ll spot, for example, the village of Montecalvello and other places of interest, depending on the duration of the horse ride you’ve chosen – either 1 or 2 hours.
Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point. The experience lasts a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes or 2 hours and 15 minutes, depending on the duration of the horse ride you’ve chosen.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for those aged 14 and over. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to the meeting point.
To take part, you must weigh no more than 120 kg.
The experience is classified as easy and is suitable for first-time riders. The guide leads the way on horseback; the ride takes place at a walk, but experienced riders may request to try other gaits at the guide’s discretion.

The experience takes place at weekends throughout the year and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
