Horseback riding day at the natural pool of Albiano d'Ivrea

Swimming with a horse? Yes, it is possible by participating in our horse-guided riding day !

Or rather, it is generally possible in the summer months when the water temperatures allow it. But on the remaining days of the year, this natural pool in the province of Turin still offers great serenity.

An experience in close contact with nature, among the villages around Albiano d'Ivrea.

What we will do

I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before 09:30 at the meeting point in Albiano d'Ivrea (TO). I, your equestrian guide, will be there to welcome you!

The activity will begin with the saddle fitting for American-style riding. Before setting off on our horseback ride, I will provide you with all the information you need to enjoy this experience without any worries.

We will then be ready to venture along a purely unpaved route, except for crossing a bridge, in the countryside surrounding Albiano d'Ivrea. This is an easy route, on unpaved roads, through the municipalities of Tina, Caravino, Realizio and Cerone.

We will cross a river and thus reach a natural pool in the province of Turin, overlooked by a small beach. Here we will stop for about 2 hours for a lunch break: it will be possible to enjoy a packed lunch or go to a nearby agriturismo (lunch at the agriturismo not included). If the temperatures permit, generally in the summer months, it will also be possible to ride or swim in the water!

We will finally return to the meeting point at approximately 16:30 , after riding approximately 20 km. The horseback ride will last 4 hours; the experience will last approximately 7 hours in total (it may last less depending on weather conditions, number and experience level of participants).

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 14; children under the age of 18 only need a release form signed by a parent.

The maximum weight to participate in this activity is 100 kg.

The route is easy and no horse riding experience is required to undertake it; however, good physical fitness is required due to the duration of the horseback ride, which may be tiring.

Other information

The experience is available from January to December; bathing with the horse is possible when the water temperature permits, generally in the summer months.

The excursion is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

It is compulsory to wear long trousers and closed shoes; if this requirement is not met, the activity may not take place.
