Full description
A breath of fresh air a short distance from Rome? You can, by taking part in our horseback ride in Ostia!
A riding instructor will guide you on your first ride. Together you will venture into the pine forest, in a bucolic setting that will make you forget you are only a few kilometres from the capital.
A 1-hour experience to reconnect with nature, not far from home.
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ostia (RM). I am your riding instructor and upon your arrival I will welcome you to my riding school!
This experience is designed for beginners, so we will begin with a short briefing during which I will explain basic riding techniques. You will then climb into the saddle for a trial ride with English riding in the riding hall, while I guide you on the ground.
It will finally be time for the actual horseback ride: I will also mount my faithful steed and we will venture out along the trail. We will almost immediately plunge into the Pineta di Castel Fusano, the largest green area in all of Rome, riding partly on sand.
We will ride 6 km in the saddle before returning to the meeting point, for a total experience of 1 hour. If you have purchased one of the options"horseback ride + toast", "horseback ride+ aperitif" or"horseback ride + apericena", you will be able to toast in the riding stables with friends on your return.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 3; children under 18 do not need to be accompanied by an adult but must be able to provide parental identification on arrival at the riding school.
To participate in this activity, the maximum weight limit is 90 kg.
This activity is of an easy level and suitable for a first horse ride.

The experience takes place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Thestart time of the experience may vary from the time selected at the organiser's discretion.
During the walk, children will be led ashore by the riding instructor.
Any accompanying persons may remain in the dedicated area at the riding stables. Leashed dogs are welcome at the riding stables.
When booking, it is possible to purchase one of the following options to enhance the experience
- horseback ride + toast: 1 alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink accompanied by chips and/or other assorted snacks.
- horseback ride +aperitif: 1 alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink accompanied by a mixed board.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
