Experience a horseback ride to the Castle of Moncrescente in the province of Alessandria.
An equestrian guide will accompany you on a 1.5-hour ride through wooded landscapes and the rolling hills of Monferrato.
Get closer to the world of horse riding and discover the history of Moncrescente Castle!
What we will do
We will meet at the time selected during the booking process at the stud farm in Melazzo (AL). Here we will be welcomed by the guide, who will introduce us to his beloved horses.
We will begin to become familiar with the animal by brushing and saddling it, while the expert guide will hold a briefing to teach us horse handling techniques. We will try riding inside the stable for about ten minutes, under the watchful eye of the guide to learn the basics: how to start, what commands to give the horse to turn and how to stop.
We will then be ready for our ride through the woods on an up-and-down path through the rolling hills of Monferrato. The activity will always be conducted in total safety and the guide will always be at our side.
At a leisurelypace, we will reach the Castle of Moncrescente, where we will be able to penetrate to discover its ruins, while the guide will tell us its interesting history.
After about 1 hour in the saddle and having covered 2.5 km, we will return to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 1½ hours, including briefing, horseback riding in the stables and a walk.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 15 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
A maximum weight of 80 kg is required to participate in this activity.
Other information
The experience is available from March to November and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
English riding is used for the walk. American riding can also be requested; please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can stay at the riding stables.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
