Come and discover all the secrets of Moncrescente Castle with a 2-hour horseback ride.
An equestrian guide will lead you through the woods of the province of Alessandria and the rolling hills of the Monferrato region for a unique experience in total safety.
End the experience on a high note by returning to the stables to enjoy a delicious aperitif based on typical local products: cheese, cold cuts, spritz or local wine... Already on your way? We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment will be at the time selected when booking at the stud farm in Melazzo, in the province of Alessandria. After meeting the expert guide, we will begin to approach the horse from the ground, brushing and saddling it.
At this point the guide will give a briefing on the safety rules to be followed and we will begin to get on the saddle for our first ride at the stable. We will spend about 10 minutes at the camp learning the basics: how to start, what commands to give the horse to turn and how to stop.
We will then be ready to set off on our ride along a 2.5 km route in the company of the equestrian guide, who will ensure total safety at all times. Passing through the woods and hills of Monferrato, we will reach the Castle of Moncrescente. Here we will ride through the ruins of the castle while the guide tells us the interesting story.
After about an hour in the saddle proceeding at a leisurely pace, we will return to the stables where a tasty aperitif will be waiting for us with cheese, typical local cold cuts, focaccia, pizzette, spritz or local wine.
The activity will last a total of 2 hours, including a briefing, a horseback riding tour of the stable, a walk and an aperitif.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 15 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
A maximum weight of 80 kg is required to participate in this activity.

The experience is available from March to November and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
English riding is used for the walk. It is also possible to request American riding; please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.
Theaperitif is included in the cost and will be based on typical local products: formaggetta di Roccaverano cheese, typical cold cuts, chips, focaccia, pizzette, spritz or local wine, and soft drinks.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons may stay at the stables.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
