Full description
As the famous proverb goes: 'a tamed horse, you ride it'. Or maybe it wasn't quite like that?
Either way, get on the saddle for a two-hour horseback ride in the countryside of the province of Isernia. Under the guidance of an expert instructor , you will learn all there is to know about horses, how to give basic commands and how to ride in step with American mounts.
Enter woods, meadows and streams and ride upstream on your steed: we are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet in Sant'Agapito (IS), 15 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking.
We will make an initial acquaintance with the horses, and then move on to preparation and riding. During this part of the activity, our guide will explain the basic commands for tackling the ride in total safety, thanks also to the docile horses specially chosen for beginners.
We will then climb into the saddle and leave the stables. We will proceed at pace through small woods, meadows and streams of the Sant'Agapito countryside, in a hilly landscape dominated by the view of the Mainarde and Matese mountains.
We will ride towards the nearby village of Macchia di Isernia, where we will cross the Cavaliere river, one of the Volturno's major tributaries. Depending on the flow of the river at different times of the year, we will either cross the river on horseback or ride our horses up it for a stretch . Either way, it will be a very enjoyable experience!
We will then return to the meeting point after a 2-hour walk.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is also suitable for beginners from the age of 14.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The maximum weight for participation is 100 kg.

The activity takes place all year round, every day, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
The type of riding used is American riding.
The equestrian centre has a large car park, but is not accessible by public transport. There is a year-round bar on site, where any accompanying persons can stay. Dogs on a leash are also allowed at the centre.
It is advisable not to carry rucksacks during the walk; it is preferable to have a baby carrier.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
