Full description
Spend a day on horseback between the Avigliana Lakes Natural Park and the town's medieval village, surrounded by the beautiful Piedmontese nature.
Relax in contact with the local vegetation, discover which animal species live there, learn about horse riding and how to take care of your horse.
After the ride through woods and lakes enjoy an excellent lunch with typical local products: the crowning glory of a simply perfect day!
What we will do
The horse riding day will start at 9:30 a.m. with a good coffee at our stable. After preparing the horses for the ride, we will have a short briefing and set off on theexcursion into the Avigliana Lakes Nature Park.
Our guide will give us some information about this Piedmontese protected area and then lead us to the lakes. Following the Mareschi marsh path, we will be able to observe the surrounding flora and fauna. In particular, in spring and autumn we will be able to distinguish the species of migratory birds that populate the area.
Our route will take us next to the Ex-Dynamitificio Nobel Museum, which operated from 1871 to 1961, while riding through the forest we will be able to notice the now uncultivated hill terraces.
After spending half a day in this way, we will stop for a break to water and forage the horses. Around 1.30 p.m. we will return to the facility for lunch: we will taste local cold meats and cheeses and each participant will be able to choose a first course from the 4 or 5 options on the menu that we will find on site, as well as drinks and coffee.
At 2.30 p.m. we will be back on the road: our horseback excursion will take us around the medieval village, in particular to the ruins of Avigliana Castle, which dates back to 1200.
We will return to the stables around 4.30 p.m. and, after taking the horses back to their stalls, we will prepare for our farewells.
In total, the activity will last about 8 hours.

The activity is open to everyone, including beginners, aged 14 and over.
For children up to the age of 18, the presence of a parent or a signed release form is required.

The activity runs from March to November, during weekends and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
