An explosive experience.
Just kidding, the last activity of this volcano was around 25 thousand years ago. And that is precisely why today you can take part in a horseback ride over ancient volcanic craters: in the company of a riding instructor, you will ride through the scenic Vesuvius National Park, between history and nature.
A 1-hour experience, enhanced by an aperitif of typical Campanian products. Because buffalo mozzarella is explosive in taste!
What we will do
The experience is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Pollena Trocchia (NA) . We will find the riding instructor waiting for us, who will drive us to the riding school in his car.
Once there, we will put on our equipment and go into the field for a brief introduction: we will learn the basics of horse riding and useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride in the beautiful scenery of Vesuvius National Park, specifically in the Monte Somma complex. Along the way, we will be able to admire volcanic cones, i. e. craters that are now extinct as the last activity of the volcano dates back 25 thousand years. We will ride about 4 km at a pace, until we reach an altitude of 400 metres. The horseback ride will last about 1 hour.
We will finally return to the stables, where we will accompany the horses to the stable (and reward them with tasty carrots) ! Afterwards, it will be time for our 'prize', namely an aperitif of typical Campanian products: buffalo mozzarella, olives and bruschette with Piennolo tomatoes are just a few examples of the delicacies we will be able to enjoy according to availability, accompanied by a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverages.
At the end of the experience, the riding instructor will accompany us to the meeting point in his car. The experience will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Attention! A maximum of 1 child aged between 9 and 16 may participate.
The experience is suitable for 9-year-olds and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant; please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to report underage participants.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 people.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
