The Ancient Romans knew how to ride horses. And well too.
And you will learn how to do it too, by participating in our horse riding lesson in Rome: if you are a beginner you will learn the basics of horse riding; if you are an experienced rider you will improve your technique; and if you are a child you will have fun in the company of a friendly pony.
A 1-hour lesson, in the shadow of the archaeological wonders of the Appia Antica Park!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Rome.
On site, we will meet the Federal Riding Instructor who will accompany us on this adventure. In his company will be a trusty team of horses and ponies: Carlotta, Nuvola, Stella, Flora, Fiorano and many others.
The riding lesson will be customised according to the participant's level of experience: the beginner will experience the thrill of mounting a horse and learning the basics of riding; the experienced rider can try out new gaits and improve his or her technique; and the child can have fun in the company of a friendly pony. All in the beautiful setting of the Appia Antica Park, in the shadow of the historic Roman aqueducts!
The riding lesson lasts approximately 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 3 years of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the riding hall.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
The experience is suitable for riders of all levels: beginners who are approaching horses for the first time and experts who want to improve their technique.

The experience takes place throughout the year.
The riding style practised is English.
Children ride a pony or horse according to their physical characteristics at the instructor's discretion.
Leashed dogs of accompanying persons are allowed in the riding hall.
There is a bar-restaurant on site.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
