Full description
Feel that fresh mountain air? This is the well-being that awaits you on horseback in the Reggio Emilia Apennines.
Climb into the saddle for a 2-hour ride in the company of an equestrian guide, who will accompany you from the slopes of Mount Ventasso to the beautiful Lake Calamone, of glacial origin.
A regenerating experience amidst woods, mountain paths and unspoilt landscapes!
What we will do
We will meet at the riding school in Ramiseto (RE), 5 minutes before the indicated time.
Here we will find the equestrian guide waiting for us, who will assist us throughout the activity. We will begin with a trial ride to test our horsemanship skills: about 15 minutes to find the right trim and get familiar with the basic controls.
Once the guide judges us ready to go, we will leave the riding school on horseback and begin our route. From the slopes of Mount Ventasso, at an altitude of around 1,000 metres, we will ascend through forests and mountain roads.
The walk will include about 300 metres of altitude difference and some ascents and descents to tackle, always supported by the guide. We will finally reach Lake Calamone, a small lake of glacial origin formed in theReggio Emilia Apennines thousands of years ago when the glaciers retreated from here.
After reflecting in the beauty of the lake and recharging our batteries in contact with nature, we will return to the riding stables.
The activity will last about 2 hours in total, including the briefing.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for everyone from the age of 14. Minors may participate on their own, with a signed release from a parent.
Horse riding experience is not required, but the guide reserves the right to assess the participants' degree of safety in the saddle. If the guide feels that the conditions are not right for the route indicated, he or she will propose extending the initial briefing and conducting a shorter ride.
The maximum weight for participation is 100 kg for women and 110 kg for men.

The activity takes place all year round.
The mount used is the American mount .
Any accompanying persons may wait at the riding school during the activity; dogs on a leash are permitted. A restaurant and overnight accommodation are available on site.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; the riding school has a free car park .
