Have you ever really listened to nature?
Savour the magic of silence, broken only by the sound of hooves on the ground, with a horseback ride in Santo Stefano di Cadore, in the province of Belluno.
Together with an expert guide, you will discover how to get in tune with your horse and venture for an hour through the woods and glades of Comelico. Password: shhh, listen!
What we will do
The meeting point will be in Santo Stefano di Cadore (BL), 10 minutes before the indicated time.
Here you will meet the guide, who will follow you throughout the activity, from the briefing to the final greetings. You will begin with the assignment and preparation of the horses, so that you will be involved from the start in looking after these splendid animals. You will then climb into the saddle and do trial rides in the field to learn how to use the reins and main controls, getting in tune with your steed.
After this introductory part, which will last about 20 minutes, you will ride out of the riding arena. The group will line up in a row, with one guide in front and one behind, and you will set off at the pass towards a forest, immersed in the regenerating nature of Comelico Bellunese.
You will cover about 4 km on forest paths, with very short stretches of asphalt and slight differences in altitude, manageable even for beginners. Along the way, your guide will tell you a few curiosities about the area you are riding through, its flora and fauna, or give you advice on improving your posture and gait on horseback.
If you are lucky, you may spot some wild animals, such as deer, as you savour the silence of nature. You will reach a clearing in the forest on horseback where some old military forts are located and take a short break before returning.
The activity will last a total of 1.5 hours, of which at least 1 hour will be spent on horseback.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 14 and up. Any minors must be accompanied by a parent at the facility, but may participate in the ride on their own.
No horse ridingexperience is required.
The maximum weight for participation is 100 kg.

The activity takes place throughout the year and is aimed at private groups of up to 4 people.
The course may be modified depending on the level of the participants.
Saddles for American and English riding are available.
Accompanying persons may stay at the riding stables during the activity; dogs on a leash are allowed on the premises.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; free parking is available at the facility.
