Horseback riding through the woods in the province of Varese

First time on horseback? This experience in San Fermo della Battaglia, in the province of Como, is designed just for you.

Together with an equestrian guide, you can prepare your horse and make friends with him before climbing into the saddle. A simple ride through woods and trails will allow you to gain confidence and relax in contact with the nature that surrounds you.

A 1-hour adventure to experience your "saddle christening" which, if you wish, can end with a delicious aperitif!

What we will do

The meeting point is in San Fermo della Battaglia (CO), 10 minutes before the time chosen when booking.

The guide will welcome us at the stables, where we can prepare the horses together before the ride. For some it will be the first approach to the horse, an exciting moment to get in tune with these beautiful animals. During the briefing, which lasts about 15 minutes, the guide will help us get on the saddle and give us basic instructions on how to tackle the walk.

Once we are ready, we will leave the stables on horseback. Each person will be accompanied by a guide or instructor on foot, who will walk beside us and give us advice on improving posture or giving the main commands.

Our horseback ride will take us through the Spina Verde Regional Park, an area of approximately 1,200 hectares offering a variety of scenic routes through hills, oak and chestnut forests, meadows and rocky areas. During the easy horseback ride, we will have the opportunity to observe a rich local fauna, including small mammals such as foxes and badgers, as well as numerous bird species.

The walk to the pass will last about 45 minutes and will end with a return to the riding school. At that point, if we have selected the appropriate option at the time of booking, we will be able to enjoy a delicious aperitif (included) that will include a charcuterie board and a small beer or soft drink.

The activity will last a total of 1 hour.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone and ideal for beginners from the age of 4.

Minors must be accompanied at the riding school by an adult; their presence is not mandatory during the activity.

The maximum permitted weight is 90 kg.

Other information

The activity is available all year round, on Saturdays and Sundays.

English and American saddles are available for the walk.

Any accompanying persons may attend the initial briefing and remain at the riding school during the walk. Dogs are not allowed on the premises.

When booking, you can select the "with aperitif" option to end the experience with an aperitif that will include a platter of cold cuts and a small beer or soft drink.
