Full description
Animmersion in nature just a few kilometres away from the capital? Yes, it is possible by participating in our horseback ride in the Castelli Romani Park!
A 1-hour experience in the company of loving animals, who will take you on a discovery of wooded paths and flower-filled meadows. You will be led by an equestrian guide, who will welcome you to his riding stables. And with a bit of luck, you can even watch the horse being prepared!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Rocca di Papa (RM). I am your equestrian guide and will welcome you to my riding school!
If you arrive early as indicated, and no other rides have taken place previously, you will be able to assist in the preparation of the horse: you will learn how to clean and saddle the animal, and I will provide you with useful information about it.
It will then be time to retrieve your horse and walk a short distance together on the ground to get familiar with it. Finally, you will get on the saddle, I will help you adjust the stirrups, and we will set off on a short asphalt stretch. We will proceed along a dirt and wooded path, which will lead us to a meadow characterised by a spectacular flowering of white, yellow and purple flowers; in autumn, generally from the end of September to the end of November, this ride is offered with an in-depth look at foliage!
As an equestrian guide, I will follow you along the route on horseback or on foot, depending on your age and experience.
We will then return to the meeting point for a1-hour horseback riding experience.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 4; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the riding school but are not required to be accompanied during the walk.
No experience is required to participate in this activity.
The weight limit for participating in this activity is a maximum of 110 kg.
Other information
Attention! In the event that the booked experience takes place after another ride, the horses will already be saddled and therefore it will not be possible to attend the initial preparation phase.
The experience takes place all year round subject to weather conditions at the organiser's discretion.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons may stay at the riding stables and may bring along a dog if agreed in advance with the organiser by contacting him at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.
Abarbecue area equipped with a table, barbecue and wood is available on site at a cost of €5.00 to be paid on site.

The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
