Group hot air balloon flight over central Sicily

Prepare to hold your breath in front of a majestic landscape stretching as far as MountEtna. Take off in a hot-air balloon over central Sicily and experience this magic!

During the one-hour flight, you will fly over the Dittaino Valley, the province of Enna and the village of Agira, one of its most enchanting towns. Depending on the direction of the wind, each experience will be absolutely unique.

After landing, a small refreshment awaits you, to toast all the beauty you will have encountered on this 'walk in the skies'.

What we will do

We will meet at the designated take-off site, near Dittaino (EN). The meeting will be early in the morning to take advantage of the best thermal conditions of the day. If you wish to be present when the balloon is inflated and take some photos before take-off, we advise you to arrive a little early.

Before the experience, we will follow a briefing in which we will be given all the necessary instructions for the flight. Once ready, we will board the wicker basket and prepare for take-off. At our side, an experienced pilot will ensure that the flight is safe and memorable for all passengers.

Propelled aloft by the burner, we will rise into the sky and begin to fly over the landscapes of central Sicily. The wind will give direction to our journey, making our experience unique and unrepeatable.

From above we will be able to admire the scenery of the province of Enna, with the Dittaino Valley andMount Etna in the distance. Depending on how the wind blows, we could also fly over Agira, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

After about an hour's flight, it will be time to get back down to earth. At the landing point, the staff will have already set up a breakfast or aperitif for us, to seal this wonderful experience with a toast.

At the end we will be taken by pick-up back to the starting point. The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon flight, various transfers and refreshments, will be approximately 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

Hot air ballooning is a suitable activity for anyone over 130 cm tall and weighing a maximum of 130 kg. If you exceed 95 kg, there is a surcharge of €40.

For safety reasons, pregnant women, persons with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from independently climbing into the wicker basket; persons with heart problems and persons who have been diving in the 24 hours preceding the flight or who have recently undergone invasive surgery are not allowed to fly.

Other information

The flight takes place from May to July and in September and October, depending on weather conditions. The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as the direction of the balloon trip depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Important: the take-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. The day before the activity, you will receive confirmation from the pilot of the exact time and location.

Breakfast includes sweet and savoury food, such as yoghurt and cappuccino, as well as typical local products. Any allergies and intolerances must be reported to the organiser in advance (you will receive contact details by e-mail with your booking confirmation).

Small items such as smartphones and small video cameras are allowed on board.

Animals are not allowed on board the hot-air balloon.
