Experience the magic of the Langhe like never before!
Take part in an exciting hot-air balloon flight over the famous Barolo vineyards. As you soar gently into the sky, the views of the vineyard-covered hills and ancient villages will be spectacular.
And after about 1 hour of flight, you will land for a tasting of 3 wines accompanied by local products at the renowned winery l'Astemia Pentita. Get ready for an extraordinary experience to be lived at least once in your life!
What we will do
The meeting is at the time selected at the time of booking in Barolo (CN). On arrival, the staff will welcome us and invite us to watch the balloon inflation show.
Before the pilot introduces us to the rules of behaviour and safety, we will be able to closely observe the preparation of the hot air balloon and, when the time comes, we will enter the wicker basket together with the pilot and the other participants.
Once in the air, we will be enchanted by the enchanting views of the Langhe, a UNESCO heritage site. The undulating hills, historic villages and tidy vineyards will reveal themselves below us in a succession of colours. After about 1 flight, we will land gently in a place decided by the wind, where acar will be waiting for us, which will then take us to the l'Astemia Pentita winery.
If we have chosen the morning flight, our adventure will continue with an exclusive tasting of 3 wines selected by the winery's sommelier. To accompany the wines, a delicious platter of cheeses, cold meats, breads and breadsticks, all products of local excellence. The guided tour of the cellar will also allow us to discover the secrets of wine production in about 1 hour.
For those who prefer an afternoon flight, depending on availability, we will begin with a tasting and visit to the winery, before taking off and experiencing the thrill of a hot-air balloon flight at the first light of sunset.
Between preparation, balloon flight, transfers, tasting and winery visit, the experience lasts a total of about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 18 years and upwards, with a maximum weight of 130 kg.
People with cardiovascular, pulmonary or osteoporosis diseases, psychiatric disorders or with prosthetic limbs or walking problemscannot fly. In addition, it is forbidden to fly while under the influence of drugs and to anyone who has been diving in the 24 hours preceding the flight.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round in the mornings or afternoons and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants. In June, July and August, flights will only take place in the mornings due to high temperatures.
Important: the flight times indicated in the calendar are approximate and vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions. A few days before the activity you will receive an email from the organisers confirming the time and address. Always check the email before you leave!
Youare not allowed to bring any items on board, with the exception of camera equipment and binoculars (which must be contained in appropriate bags stowed before landing).
Smoking is prohibited on the take-off and landing field, on the balloon or in any of the organisation's vehicles. The hot air balloon is fuelled with highly flammable liquid propane.
