Hot air balloon flight in the morning in Mondovì

Have you ever dreamed of soaring through the sky, with the world reduced to a wonderful picture below you?

Here is your chance: a hot-air balloon flight over the enchanting hills of Piedmont and the plains of Mondovì, the Italian capital of aerostatic flight. Float among the clouds and discover postcard views, where vineyards and historic towns make up a unique and fascinating mosaic.

And after the one-hour flight, a delicious breakfast awaits you to end this unforgettable experience on a high note!

What we will do

We will meet in the morning in Mondovì, where we will be welcomed by staff who will direct us to the hot-air balloon.

Before boarding the wicker basket, we will be able to watch the balloon inflate. As soon as the air inside the balloon has warmed up and we have conducted the pre-flight briefing with the pilot, we will be ready for take-off.

Once at altitude, we will be surprised by the direction the wind will choose for us, admiring from above the city and countryside of Mondovi, the Alps, and in the distance the Langhe. The view will range from the Piedmontese countryside, among waterways and green vineyards, to the historic towns in the Mondovì area.

After about an hour's flight we will land gently, with the wind deciding our exact arrival point. Here we will find one of the organisation's vehicles waiting for us, which will take us to a selected bar or agriturismo.

We will enjoy breakfast together (included in the fee). Because after such an adventure, a cappuccino and a croissant is just what you need! Finally, we will be driven back to the initial meeting point. The activity lasts about 2.5 hours in total, of which one hour is actual flying time.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 6 years and aminimum height of 120 cm. Children aged between 6 and 12 can only board if accompanied by a parent.

Pregnant women, people with cardiovascular or pulmonary diseases or suffering from osteoporosis, psychiatric disorders or with prosthetic limbs or walking problems cannotfly. In addition, it is forbidden to fly while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and to anyone who has been diving in the 24 hours preceding the flight.

Other information

The activity takes place in the morning all year round at weekends and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 6 participants.

Important: the flight times indicated in the calendar are approximate and vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions. A few days before the activity you will receive an email from the organisers confirming the time and address. Always check the email before you leave!

You are not allowed to bring any items on board, with the exception of camera equipment and binoculars (which must be contained in appropriate bags stowed before landing).

Smoking is prohibited on the take-off and landing field, on the hot air balloon or in any of the organisation's vehicles. The hot air balloon is fuelled with highly flammable liquid propane.

Recommended clothing

• Layered clothing (suitable for the temperature range of the balloon ascent)
• Closed sports shoes (no heels)
