Full description
Climb aboard a hot-air balloon and let the Val d'Orcia reveal its spectacle from above: endless stretches of vineyards on the horizon, the Crete Senesi with their rolling hills alternating with gullies and rows of cypress trees.
For about an hour you will be lulled by the currents in a silence that seems almost unreal, interrupted only by the breath of the flame that fuels the balloon. And upon landing, a refreshment with typical products and a glass of bubbly as a grand finale.

What we will do
We will be at the take-off area in Buonconvento (SI) at first light. Our experienced pilot will welcome you and direct you to your hot air balloon. If you wish, you can arrive a little early to watch the balloon inflation show.
After boarding the wicker basket and a safety briefing, we will be ready to take off. We will fly between 300 and 1200 metres in height, depending on the wind, flying over the beating heart of the Val d'Orcia.
From above we will admire the Sienese countryside, the Crete Senesi and the iconic landscapes that make this area unique in the world. We will see rolling hills, rows of cypress trees, tidy vineyards and medieval villages, including Siena and Montalcino.
After about 1 hour of flight, we will return to the ground expertly guided by the pilot who will take care of every detail to ensure our safety. Wind conditions will determine the landing zone, generally on grassland.
Afterwards, breakfast (included in the fee) will be waiting for us. Refreshments prepared by the crew will be at the landing field and will include pastries, a plate of local cheeses and cold cuts, and a glass of champagne.
Finally, the pilot will take us back to our cars at the take-off site. The activity has a total duration of about 3 hours and includes a safety briefing, a one-hour flight and return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
Flying in ahot-air balloon issuitable for everyone, you can fly from 4 years of age upwards and with a minimum height of90 cm. The only restrictions are for pregnant women and people with serious heart problems or restricted mobility in their lower limbs.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.
The activity can be booked all year round.
Important: the flight takes place at dawn, to take advantage of the best winds and the most suitable temperatures, however the take-off time may vary depending on the time of year chosen. The day before the scheduled activity, you will receive confirmation of the take-off time and meeting place from the pilot.
