Hot air balloon ride at dawn over the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines

Not all emotions can be recounted. Some have to be experienced. Like when, at dawn, the fire from the burner fills the hot-air balloon with hot air and the wicker basket lifts off the ground, taking you flying over the Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano.

Thus begins a flight of about one hour that will let you see the world as you have never seen it: the forests shrouded in mist, the peaks lit up in gold, the rivers meandering through the valleys. Guided by an experienced pilot, the only thing you have to do is let the wind carry you and fill your eyes with beauty.

Because there are experiences that only happen once in a lifetime. And this, trust me, is one of them.

What we will do

The appointment is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Carpineti (RE). Here we will meet the rest of the group and the crew, ready to guide us on this adventure.

The magic begins already on the ground: we will witness the spectacle of the balloon's inflation, when the balloon, still lying down, slowly takes shape until it becomes a colourful giant ready to rise into the sky.

Once the hot air has filled the balloon and the basket is ready, we will climb aboard and the take-off will be so smooth that we will only realise we are flying by watching the earth recede beneath us. From here on, it will be the wind that decides the course: no two flights are the same, and that is precisely why each one is unique and unrepeatable.

We will fly for about 1 hour carried by the wind in the direction of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park. We will soar to admire the rock formations that characterise this area, the small villages scattered in the green and the expanses of vegetation.

Upon landing, we will be met by the ground crew, who will take us back to the meeting point by their own means. Between preparation, flight and transfers, the experience will last about 3 hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

Flying in a hot-air balloon is suitable for everyone, you can fly from 8 years of age upwards and with a minimum height of 120 cm.

The only restrictions are for pregnant women and people with serious heart problems or limited mobility in their lower limbs. If you suffer from pulmonary, cardiac, circulatory or other problems that could affect your wellbeing while flying, we recommend that you consult your doctor.

Important! Time and meeting point are approximate and will be confirmed to you by the pilot by e-mail usually 3 to 4 days before the experience, after checking the weather. Remember to check your inbox and, if you do not receive a message from the pilot, contact him/her at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.

The activity takes place on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed when there are at least 6 participants.

You can take photos or videos throughout the flight, using your camera, phone or GoPro.
