Full description
Climb aboard a hot-air balloon and get ready to take a walk in the sky in the magical atmosphere ofdawn. You will enjoy the breathtaking view of the city of Lucca and the Tuscan hills, with their vineyards and olive groves, from above. You will experience unique emotions of absolute tranquillity and freedom, letting yourself be gently carried away by the wind.
An expert pilot will accompany you during the flight, to guarantee maximum comfort and safety. At the end of the experience, you will find refreshments of typical Tuscan products and a glass of champagne waiting for you.
What we will do
The rendezvous is at the take-off area in Lucca, at first light. Here, we will be welcomed by the pilot, who will direct us to our hot-air balloon.
We will then board the balloon via special passages on the side of the basket and, after a briefing on safety regulations, we will finally be ready to take off. The pilot will briefly explain the behaviour to be adopted during the various phases of the flight.
We will reach an altitude of between 300 and 1200 metres, depending on the wind of the day. During the flight, we will be able to admire the city of Lucca and the Tuscan hills from above. We will see the Renaissance walls, the Serchio river and the surrounding countryside from above. The pilot will take care of everything, guaranteeing maximum safety, while we will only have to enjoy the panorama beneath our feet.
After about one hour of flight, it will be time to land. Wind conditions will determine the landing zone, generally on grass. Afterwards, we will find refreshments (included in the fee) prepared by the staff, including pastries, a plate of local cheeses and cold cuts, and a glass of champagne.
After the refreshments, the staff will take us back to the take-off site. The activity has a total duration of about 3 hours and includes the flight, safety briefing and return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
Flying in a hot-air balloon is suitable for everyone, you can fly from 6 years of age up wards and with a minimum height of 90 cm. The only restrictions are for pregnant women and people with serious heart problems or restricted mobility in their lower limbs.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.
The activity can be booked all year round, weather permitting, and takes place at dawn, to take advantage of the best winds and temperatures.
Important: the take-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. The day before the scheduled activity, you will receive confirmation of the take-off time and meeting place from the pilot.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
