Full description
Discover the Puster Valley from a new perspective by flying over the main Alpine chain and the Dolomites in a hot-air balloon!
A hot-air balloon flight is a unique experience: you will experience the sensation of floating in the air while admiring the beauty of South Tyrol from a privileged vantage point.
Depending on the winds, you will fly over some of the most majestic mountains in the Alps: the hot-air balloon cannot be directed, which makes each flight unique and unrepeatable!
What we will do
The take-off point, usually between Brunico and Dobbiaco, will be chosen by the pilot according to the winds to ensure the best flight (the precise address will be communicated to us a day or two before).
Before boarding the wicker basket, we can watch the balloon being inflated, if we so wish. This moment is very suggestive and will allow us to discover how the hot-air balloon works.
We will fly over the Pusteria Valley reaching a height of at least 2,000 metres above sea level, admiring the peaks of the Vedrette di Ries or the Zillertal Alps from an unusual perspective, with the silence broken only by the sound of the burner.
The flight lasts about one hour. Once we land, we will find the ground staff ready to take us back to our starting point, but not before celebrating together with the pilot with a glass of prosecco accompanied by typical local products.
The experience lasts a total of about 3½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 12 years and a minimum height of 130 cm. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Pregnant women, those suffering from serious illnesses incompatible with flying and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs cannotfly. If you are in doubt about your fitness to fly, we recommend that you consult your attending physician.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round in the morning. Departure times are approximate and will be confirmed by the pilot the days before departure together with the address of the meeting point.
Important: It is necessary to arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the time chosen for the activity!
